University of Washington
Greater Seattle Area
I study American politics and political rhetoric at the University of Washington. Overcoming socioeconomic barriers, I started college at sixteen and by eighteen officially represented youth in state government with the Washington State Legislative Youth Advisory Committee, lobbying several successful bills into law. Academically, I maintain a 3.90 GPA, completed three undergraduate theses, will graduate Phi Beta Kappa, and am projected to graduate magna cum laude (top 3.3% of class).

I am passionate about cross-cultural leadership and international policy. By double majoring in Political Science and Communication, I aim to influence the atmosphere of communities through political communication. As a Freshmen I was selected as a Gilman Scholar (U.S. State Department) and studied human migration and global cities in Rome and Amsterdam. I was an inaugural fellow with the U.S.-China Initiative Student Fellows Program at Georgetown and served as a UW Husky Presidential Ambassador to Tsinghua University in Beijing, building cross-cultural communication skills. I am currently a Leadership Fellow with Senator Slade Gorton and a delegate at the Forum for American/Chinese Exchange at Stanford.

Personally, I enjoy running (completing my 2016 New Year's Resolution by running over 1,000 kilometers), pretending to understand the nuances of coffee (with a U District best cafes short list), and rooming in a fantastic house with international students from around the world.
