Angelique M. Davis is an Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of the Global African Studies Program at Seattle University. Her research concentrates on Black motherhood, apologies and reparations, the socio-legal construction of race, political representation of nonwhite Americans, and the reinvention of White Supremacy in the 21st century. She is currently working on a book project titled, "From Mamie Till to Maria Hamilton: Black Mothers' Quest for Justice."
