Rev. Harriett Walden has been a vocal advocate for peace issues since co-founding Mothers for Police Accountability (MfPA) in 1990. She is currently the co-chair of the Seattle Community Police Commission.

MfPA is an organization that educates and coordinates parents and community organizations in addressing excessive police force. She also serves as the Director/Founder of the Family Empowerment Institute in Seattle, Washington where she is working to break Black on Black crime. In addition to that, Rev. Harriett Walden has been a Virtues Project™ facilitator since 1992, trained by Virtues Project™ founders Linda Kavelin Popov and Dr. Dan Popov.
